Can motorcycle accidents be prevented?

Pennsylvania residents are welcoming the arrival of summer. School is out, and so is the sun. People are looking forward to being out and about, and even daily errands can seem less mundane when there is the chance of stumbling upon a food truck, yard sale or other unexpected treat. Unfortunately, not all unexpected summer happenings are fun, and in the case of motorcycle accidents, what began as an enjoyable ride can end in injury or death.

Fatal motorcycle accidents: who is at fault?

Summer is right around the corner, and motorcycle enthusiasts are looking forward to getting out for a ride and exploring Pennsylvania. Whether traveling solo, with a passenger, or in a group, riding a motorcycle can be an enjoyable way to get out and about and enjoy the open road. The potential for motorcycle accidents is a serious concern, and even if a rider is wearing a helmet and proper safety gear, he or she can be severely injured or killed in the event of a crash.

Avoid motorcycle accidents: bikers save lives

There are many groups or clubs in Pennsylvania that may be misjudged or have a reputation that is undeserved. Bikers often fall into this category. The truth is, most motorcycle enthusiasts are just regular people who enjoy a common hobby. When bikers take to the road, they risk their lives, and motorcycle accidents can hurt or kill good people.

Motorcycle accidents: Vroom vroom meets courtroom

As spring nears its final weeks, summer is already teasing Pennsylvania with a taste of hot temperatures and plenty of sun. Some residents have gardens well underway; others have gone fishing or kayaking, and children are certainly awaiting the official end of the school year. Motorcycle enthusiasts might be planning to attend various events planned across the state in the coming weeks, and even though taking the bike out for a spin can be a fun and rewarding ride, there is always potential for motorcycle accidents

Group tries to raise awareness about motorcycle accidents

May is Motorcycle Awareness Month across the Keystone State. Pennsylvania residents may have noticed advertisements for special events, like rides for large groups of riders or celebrations at local motorcycle dealerships.  While certainly, these events will be fun and are meant for communities all over the state to enjoy, one recurring theme to the month is the prevention of motorcycle accidents

Motorcycle accidents can cause serious injuries

Though there isn't exactly a "motorcycle season," Pennsylvania riders look forward to getting back on the road each spring. Though certainly most riders treat safety as an absolute priority, motorcycle accidents can occur anytime rubber meets the road. Even if the accident is not the fault of the motorcycle operator, he or she may face blame for injuries suffered by a passenger.

Motorcycle accidents a constant threat to riders

The sun is finally out in Pennsylvania, and motorcycle enthusiasts across the state are gearing up to hit the open road. While spring brings with it the opportunity to put some miles on the bike and enjoy the fresh air, it also carries increased risk of motorcycle accidents. Unfortunately, many crashes are preventable, but some drivers have little or no regard for the safety of others, putting lives at risk.

Teen drivers and motorcycle accidents

Young or inexperienced drivers have a higher chance of being involved in an accident than more experienced drivers. Though being aware of the laws of the road and being educated about safe driving practices can go a long way to help a new Pennsylvania driver, there is an increased risk of a crash with a teen behind the wheel. Though sometimes, a little fender-bender can be a frightening but relatively harmless learning experience, other more serious crashes, like motorcycle accidents, can change or end lives forever.

Despite helmet use, motorcycle accidents can kill

Pennsylvania has a thriving community of motorcycle enthusiasts. The Keystone State offers such scenic roadways, riders find it hard to imagine, as long as the weather cooperates, a better way to spend a sunny afternoon. Far from being purely recreational, many people use motorcycles as a fun and efficient way to get from place to place, but even a seasoned rider knows that motorcycle accidents can turn deadly in the blink of an eye.

Passengers killed in motorcycle accidents deserve justice

Pennsylvania boasts some of the most scenic highways and byways in the nation, and has a long-standing reputation as a state with a thriving community of motorcycle enthusiasts. Many bikers attest that going for a motorcycle ride on a nice day can't be beat, and some choose to share the thrill by taking a passenger along for the ride. Unfortunately, passengers are at serious risk to become the victims of motorcycle accidents, particularly because their lives are in the hands of the driver.
