Motorcycle accidents often end in fatality

Pennsylvania is a state full of motorcycle enthusiasts. Motorcycles are a common sight on the roads that criss-cross the state, and for a biker, autumn can be one of the best times to enjoy a ride through the crisp air and beautiful foliage. Unfortunately, motorcycle accidents are a constant concern, and even if a rider is wearing a proper helmet, bikers are often killed if they are struck by a larger vehicle.

Recently, a Pennsylvania biker was driving through an intersection when he was hit by a pickup truck. The victim’s body was trapped under the truck. The pickup contained firearm ammunition, and both vehicles burst into flames after the initial impact. Workers from a local delivery business rushed out to try to extinguish the fires, but they were unsuccessful due to the incendiary nature of the ammunition.

The biker was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released yet so that law enforcement can inform friends and family privately. The accident remains under investigation, and it seems the pickup driver is at fault.

When motorcycle accidents are caused by the careless actions of another driver, victims and their families may feel overwhelmed. Medical bills, funeral expenses and insurance matters can pile up quickly. In a time of such grief, it can be helpful to partner with an experienced attorney. Victims who wish to seek legal compensation may find the process a bit daunting. An attorney may be able to guide victims through the legal case as they attempt to come to terms with their loss.
