Driver ignores stop sign, causes fatal car accident.

After a winter that seemed as if it would never end, Pennsylvania residents are out and about, enjoying the warm rays of the summer sun. With so much to do and see across the Keystone State, it is no wonder that drivers may have noticed an increased amount of traffic. It is always important for drivers to obey traffic laws and signals because a fatal car accident can result from one careless mistake.

On June 19, an 85-year-old man was driving eastbound on a road in Butler Township when he failed to stop at a stop sign. He crashed into a pickup truck being driven by a 66-year-old Pennsylvania man. The impact caused both vehicles to exit the roadway, taking out a guardrail. The vehicles tumbled down an embankment before coming to rest in a creek.

Both men suffered fatal injuries as a result of the car accident. The road where the crash occurred was closed for several hours following the deaths. Police say the accident remains under investigation, but have revealed that the driver that ran the stop sign directly caused the incident.

When a loved one dies as a result of a car accident, surviving loved ones may find themselves at a loss for how to proceed. Often crippled by shock and grief, things like medical bills, funeral expenses and legal proceedings can seem overwhelming. Many times, an experienced attorney can provide guidance and support as grieving families attempt to pick up the pieces and begin to come to terms with the death of their loved one.
