Man trapped under vehicle after serious three-car accident

One can never be sure when life will change without warning. One of the most sudden and yet life altering events may be caused by a car accident. Pennsylvania families are no strangers to these often horrifying situations.

Recently, one young man’s life was turned upside down when the truck he was riding in got caught up in a serious three-vehicle accident. The 20-year-old man was a passenger in a truck that was hauling a trailer with farm machinery on board. The driver was proceeding down a local road when a smaller vehicle made a turn right into its path. After colliding with the side of the Jeep, the truck overturned, and the passenger became trapped under the truck.

The Jeep that is believed to have caused the initial collision was forced into a third vehicle. That car had been stopped at the time of the wreck. The driver inside the third car and the driver of the truck were using their safety restraints and did not suffer any injuries in the collisions. The driver of the Jeep was taken for treatment and was released from a local medical center shortly afterwards. The victim who was trapped was reportedly in fair condition, and a passenger in the Jeep was reported to be in good condition.

It is unknown the nature or the severity of the injuries that either man suffered. The victim who was trapped under the truck possibly suffered wounds that may require an extensive recovery time. Furthermore, he may be unable to return to work for an extended period of time, and even then, he may be limited in the type of work he is physically able to perform. He may choose to seek information concerning his options regarding the filing of a car accident claim against the driver whom Pennsylvania officials stated may face charges as a result of the wreck. These suits are filed in order to obtain financial compensation for monetary damages that frequently occur after these collisions.
