Two School Children Were Struck by a Vehicle in Reading, Berks County

WFMZ News has reported that two sisters, a 5th grade student of Riverside Elementary and a 6th grade student of the middle school, were struck by a car right in front of the elementary school. Evidently, they had taken a BARTA bus because they were running late for school.  It appears the girls were hit and suffered injuries warranting medical attention from Reading Hospital after disembarking from the bus and attempting to cross the road.  There is an open question as to whether the vehicle that hit the girls was being driven in excess of the school zone speed limit.

Truck driver charged in fatal Pennsylvania car accident

The truck driver indicted in the death of three people following a seven-vehicle crash last May is now on trial for charges of homicide by vehicle as well as a multitude of other charges. The car accident that also sent several people to local hospitals in the Pennsylvania area has been attributed to negligence on the part of the driver by prosecutors. The case will go to trial following a preliminary hearing that took place on Jan. 5.

Rollover car accident injures at least two in Pennsylvania

Rollover crashes can occur for a number of reasons. In some cases, it may be a driver's fault for speeding, trying to take a sharp corner too quickly or consuming alcohol before getting behind the wheel. To further complicate matters, some vehicles are more prone to rolling over, such as SUVs, due to their high centers of gravity. Regardless, a rollover car accident can occur at any time for any reason. This was evidenced recently in a crash in Pennsylvania.
