Wrong-site surgical procedure leads to medical malpractice suit

A 67-year-old woman has filed suit against a surgeon who operated on the wrong side of her skull. The case has made headlines across the nation, and serves as a warning to Pennsylvania residents of the dangers of placing full trust in the competency of a medical professional. The medical malpractice suit was filed after the patient discovered that this was not the first time that the surgeon had operated on the wrong part of a patient's body.

Wrongful death claims possible after bus crash

American travelers know the dangers inherent in road travel. We take precautions to offset those risks each and every time we take to the roads in Pennsylvania, putting on our seat belts and ensuring that our vehicles are safe to operate. However, when we travel by commercial bus, many of us fail to acknowledge that those same dangers exist, even when we are riding in a large commercial vehicle with a professional driver. In the aftermath of a recent bus crash, multiple personal injury and wrongful death suits are possible.

Sentencing in Pennsylvania fatal accident case

In Sept. 2010 a family received news that a terrible Pennsylvania car crash had claimed the lives of their loved ones. The victims were an elderly couple; a 76-year-old man and his 69-year-old wife. The couple was involved in the fatal accident upon encountering a man who had recently been treated at a methadone clinic.

Improperly secured mattress leads to fatal accident

When an individual makes the decision to transport oversized items in or on their vehicle, they assume the responsibility of ensuring that those articles are properly secured before entering a public roadway. In many cases, a particular vehicle is simply not suitable to transport certain items, and the decision should be made to find an alternative means of moving the item. One recent fatal accident demonstrates the severity of failing to properly secure a mattress before driving on a Pennsylvania Interstate, and has left multiple families in shock and the beginning stages of grief.
