Elderly man involved in car accident at Pennsylvania day care

There are some accidents that initially seem difficult to explain. When such cases arise, Pennsylvania police may need more time to fully investigate an accident which has given few initial indications of its cause. Police have such a task currently, as they investigate a car accident where a man drove his SUV into a day care facility.

Police say that a 77-year-old man was at an ATM across the parking lot from the day care. For a reason that is currently unknown, the man drove across the parking lot and through several obstacles, including a fence, before running into the facility. Police have stated that they are continuing to investigate the accident, and it is not clear when they will release their final report.

As a result of the crash, three children in the facility suffered injuries. The driver of the SUV was also injured. Police noted that at the time of the crash, there were 12 children in the room where the man crashed his vehicle.

Fortunately this Pennsylvania accident has not resulted in anyone suffering fatal injuries. However, there is still a substantial amount of damage that this car accident produced. As further details are released, either by the police investigation or an independent one, these details may provide evidentiary support for a personal injury claim. This type of claim, when negligence is proved, may not only provide restitution for those who suffered physical injuries, but also for the facility that now must fix the damage that they suffered as a result of this car accident.
