Pennsylvania police arrest man in fatal auto accident

Police in Pennsylvania got some help from an unexpected source in solving a fatal hit-and-run collision. The auto accident occurred earlier this month, but the driver involved was recently found and charged. The victim in the accident died from his injuries.

The driver who was recently arrested is facing several charges in connection to this fatal collision. According to the police report, the 28-year-old driver was traveling at highway speeds when he hit the 24-year-old victim. The driver then left the scene and failed to notify authorities or summon help for the victim.

The driver later purportedly tried to sell the vehicle involved. The prospective owner took the automobile to a local garage to get an estimate for body work. The body shop technician reportedly recognized the vehicle from police reports and informed the purchaser about the hit-and-run accident. The purchaser then notified the Pennsylvania police of the whereabouts of the car and its owner.

The charged man supposedly made several false statements to the authorities regarding the details of the accident and his actions in the aftermath. He now faces charges of attempting to conceal evidence and other charges in connection to this accident. The victim's family may choose to gather all of the evidence and file a wrongful death suit with the assistance of an experienced personal injury attorney against the driver that the police believe to be responsible for their loss. A favorable ruling in these types of legal proceedings may allow the victim's family to ease the financial burdens that tend to follow in the wake of a fatal auto accident.
