Two people are in the hospital following a crash in Lower Merion. Just after 10 a.m. on June 14, a driver lost control of a vehicle and crashed into a building. The car accident injured the driver and the passenger, both of whom were transported to a Pennsylvania hospital for treatment.

According to the accident report, the driver lost control for unknown reasons. Police are still investigating. The car ran through the glass front of a building on a local roadway. Emergency crews from Lower Merion and Philadelphia arrived shortly after in response to calls about the crash.

The driver and passenger both had to be extricated from the vehicle and were then taken to a local hospital. Their injuries have not been described in detail by police, nor have other details about the investigation been publicly addressed. So far, police have not said whether any charges against the driver are pending.

Too little information is available pertaining to this car accident for any guesses to be made about the outcome of the investigation. Should Pennsylvania police determine the driver was somehow at fault, either through recklessness, negligence or even intoxication, charges against the driver could be filed in a criminal court. In any event, the passenger may choose to file a personal injury suit against the driver for whatever injuries he or she suffered in the crash. Any evidence gathered by police can be offered to support a civil suit of that type, helping to ensure the results in financial damages being awarded.
