Tragedy struck York County on the night of June 16, after a serious crash killed two local teenagers. The Pennsylvania community is reeling after the car accident caused the deaths of two boys, ages 17 and 16 respectively. Obviously no charges will be filed in this single-vehicle crash, but police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident as of this report.

The accident report states that the boys were traveling in a car being driven by the 17-year-old when the crash occurred. It appears the boy somehow lost control of his vehicle, which left the road and struck a telephone pole with enough force to cause the car to burst into flames. Neither boy made it out of the wreck, and they were pronounced dead by arriving medical personnel.

Police are still trying to determine what caused the boy to lose control. They have not come to a conclusive answer yet, but they suspect high speed may have played a role in the crash. It is unknown if they are considering alcohol or drugs as possible causes as well.

If Pennsylvania police conclude that the 17-year-old was indeed speeding at the time of the car accident, that may be enough evidence to suggest he was responsible for the crash. Should this be the case, the family of the 16-year-old boy who lost his life may wish to seek legal action against the other boy's estate and anyone else with ownership interest in the vehicle. Using this evidence, they could file a wrongful death suit in a civil court.
