A car and a truck collided on a turnpike on Sept. 26, leaving one driver dead and the other injured. Very little is known about the specifics of the car accident at this time, but Pennsylvania police are on the case and are continuing their investigation. As of this writing, no formal charges have been filed in connection with the incident.

All that is currently known about this car accident is that it occurred around 3:30 in the afternoon and involved a truck and a car. The truck overturned on an embankment after leaving the road, throwing its driver clear. That driver was declared dead at the scene of the accident by medical personnel arriving on the scene.

The other driver was also injured and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of that driver's injuries are not known at this time. Neither driver's identity has been released to the public as of this writing, likely pending notification of next-of-kin.

When a car accident happens suddenly, information is not always readily available pertaining to the cause or the responsible party. In this case, Pennsylvania law enforcement officers still have a long way to go in determining culpability for this case, as there has been no mention of probable factors including alcohol or high speeds. Should the deceased truck driver be found responsible for the crash, the injured driver would be entitled to file a personal injury suit against the other driver's estate. Contrarily, should the surviving driver be found culpable, the deceased trucker's family could file a wrongful death suit instead.
