The car accident occurred on a Wednesday afternoon around 4:20 p.m., when a 37-year-old local man veered over the center line of the road and struck a pickup truck head-on. The pickup, operated by a 29-year-old Pennsville resident, caught fire and other motorists stopped to free the driver from his vehicle. The Lehigh Valley driver was knocked unconscious, and the fire department used the "Jaws of Life" to extricate him from his vehicle.
